Our Family Support Worker is here to help families, parents, carers, and children in a variety of ways, including:
- Offering support and a safe space to discuss any concerns or worries, and signposting to helpful services and resources when needed.
- Working closely with other professionals to ensure safeguarding and access to external support services.
- Managing safeguarding concerns within school, making referrals when necessary, and attending follow-up meetings to ensure actions are completed.
- Holding weekly safeguarding meetings to monitor patterns and keep track of referrals.
- Liaising with other schools to ensure smooth safeguarding handovers for children joining or leaving Kings Meadow.
- Attending termly safeguarding briefings to stay up to date with current guidance.
- Providing an ‘on-call’ system during school holidays and making welfare calls to families.
- Leading Early Help Assessments (EHAs) when required, including ‘voice of the child’ work.
- Attending meetings with social care, strengthening families, and other professionals to support families effectively.
Our aim is to work in partnership with families to ensure every child feels safe, supported, and ready to thrive.
