If your child is unwell, you should contact the school office before 9.00am on the first day of sickness and leave a message on the school answer phone. 

If your child is absent and the office has not been informed, the school office will call home to enquire as to the reason. It will then be coded according to the agreed attendance codes.

If we are unable to contact home, the absence will be unauthorised. If there has been no contact with home for three days with no reason given, staff will complete a ‘safe and well’ check to the family home. 

If your child will be absent from school for an unavoidable medical reason, you can contact the school office for a form, and we may ask for evidence of the appointment.  

No holidays will be authorised by the Head of School unless it is due to exceptional circumstances, and this is at the Head’s discretion.
